Overview

Categories allow you to group related products together. This helps both internal teams manage a large catalog and customers find the services they need.

Why Use Categories?

  • Organization: Group products by business unit, service type, or target audience.
  • Filtering: Easily filter products in the admin UI or the API.
  • Portal Layout: Use categories to structure how products are displayed in your customer-facing store or portal.

Creating Categories

  1. Go to BillSpree → Billing Setup → Categories.
  2. Click Add Category.
  3. Provide a Name and Description.
  4. You can also assign a Parent Category to create a hierarchical structure.

Assigning Products to Categories

When editing a Pricing Template, you can select one or more categories to which it belongs.
